The mission of the Health Start Coalition is to improve the health and wellbeing of pregnant women, infants and younger children. As a charitable organization, we need your help as a Health Start volunteer. Please consider giving us your time and energy!
We are looking for those people who have made a conscious decision to spend time in service to others. Whether you are from a business or a faith-based organization, or are a student or an individual, we ask that you consider volunteering for us!
We have opportunities for you to:
• Staff the Pregnancy Resource Center, which is a small library with resources for pregnant women, mothers and children to guide them through a healthy pregnancy and healthy parenting. Families in our country face many challenges in their day-to-day lives, and taking care of economic, health and personal issues while raising young children can be overwhelming. Many women aren't even aware of the help and resources that are available. With your help in the library, Healthy Start can be the link to give every baby a healthy start in life.
• Represent Healthy Start at area Health Fairs and Community Events.
• Help us with the many important tasks around the office that ultimately help us meet our goals and provide valuable services.
